Another Week On The UK Music Scene

The preferences here are influenced by the sounds and draw upon the popularity of the charts and try and listen closely to what is worth listening too. You can find the full article over on Stirring Trouble Internationally.x factor judges The X Factor final is this weekend former guest judge from the audition stages Rita Ora; Simon Cowell’s, One Direction make an appearance with Rihanna and Emeli Sande US superstar Rihanna announced as T in the Park 20th birthday guest (dailyrecord.co.uk): Kylie Minogue’s is also promoting her new album by attending Britain’s Got Talent.  Boys Aloud are there, Kelly Clarkson is singing singles from her best of album.

Emeli Sande and Adele are the best selling album. If you search through the archives you can find our reviews about Adele’s 21, Lana Del Rey’s Born To Die, Ed Sheeran’s + and Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto. Emili got married soon and the Daily Scotsman wrote a nice article to help with promotions you can read that here. Scots chart topper Emeli Sande says getting married and performing at the Olympics were highlights of her incredible year (dailyrecord.co.uk).
Favourites that stand out are Mumford & Sons, Jessie J, Rihanna, Paloma Faith and One Direction and we are coming to the most popular time of sales Chrismas, who do you think will excel?
Fleetwood MacThings to be mindful of next year from old school london musicians are Fleetwood Mac 2013 reunion tour with the eighth highest selling album ever: 1977’s Rumours. Allegedly they have some new tracks to release so watch out for that.
Other popular up and coming events are in Scotland ‘Rihanna and Mumford & Sons to headline T in the Park 2013 (guardian.co.uk) you can expect to see  The Killers, The Script, Alt-J, Paloma Faith, Jake Bugg, Monsters and Men too. Scotland is a great place for musicians and tickets sell fast.


Gabrielle AplinAbove is a picture of Gabrielle Aplin who has a nice cover of The Power of Love a song 28 years ago by Frankie Goes To Hollywood reached number one at Christmas.
Also coming up soon is the The Brit Awards again Emeli Sande did very well there last year its said to be at the London’s O2 Arena on 20 February 2013, so look out for tickets there you do not want to miss that.
